Because cable installation comes in the later stages of the project development cycle and because the commissioning of the project relies almost entirely on a successful and operational cable installation, various scheduling issues can occur when insufficient focus is applied to the management of the cable on site.
OCL has a documented procedure of efficient cable management which commences during the material supply phase with effective drum labelling and run coding which makes allocating cable drums for specific run installation on site easy and efficient minimising wastage and the requirement to order additional materials.
